I have a large container of beautiful handmade throw rugs, Alpaca rugs, and Mexican blankets, all brand new with brilliant colors and designs, just waiting to send to my readers. These are the ones donated to me by my friend Lynn with the now-closed souvenir shop outside Glacier NP, Montana.

After she sold it, she brought me to her collection of lovely hand-woven Mexican rugs and serapes, or blankets with fringes, and told me I could have any I wanted as a donation to my ministry. 

I thanked her profusely, and received her kind gifts. They are now safely packed in my storage unit in a large plastic bin.

I have them decided to make these lovely rugs and blankets availble to my readers on a simple donation basis,  so I can continue in ministry and continue to help John. I cannot do this without financial support.

Christian crusades

Why am I doing this for my readers? Because I remember how sad I felt, when I would go to great evangelists' crusades or lectures by televangelists at our Christian retreat where I lived for many years.

They would preach a wonderful message or sermon, and then talk about their special gifts and offers for their listeners. One offer was a special  series of teachings on the Book of Psalms, designed to lift up people going through crisis.

As this televangelist described this series, I so wanted to be able to obtain this! 

I had just been released from serving a jail sentence for one act of peaceful Christian pro-life protest, and was extremely burned out and in need of encouragement and love.

The cost of discipleship can come in many forms.

But then, my bubble of hope and expectation was burst when she stated that  "...for only $20.00 you can enjoy this wonderful series today!" 

Twenty dollars? I didn't even have ONE dollar that day! There is no paid income in the Christian pro-life movement and saving the unborn from abortion. Rather, you sacrifice your job and your income, so you can minister at the abortion clinics and lay down your life to save even one child from abortion. I had given up two jobs, and sacrificed all I had to save the unborn. 

By the time I finished my sentence for peaceful protest and witnessing at the abortion clinic, I was financially broke and physically and emotionally exhausted. 

How I needed Christian love and encouragement at that very moment! 

But a price tag was placed upon it...putting it out of my reach. 

After the meeting was over and the auditorioum emptied, I walked to the front of the stage. There, still lying on the stage, was the teaching series on Psalms. I lovingly reached out and held it in my hands, longing for it's inspiration and comfort. I wanted to walk out with it, but I did not have even $20 dollars. And I certainly was not going to steal it.

And then, I slowly put it down softly and walked away, feeling very sad. I thought about how Jesus freely gave of God's wonderful gifts and love and ministry without ever charging His followers a penny. Who can put a price tag on love and compassion to the hurting? Who can place a price on ministering to the hurting and the suffering in the world today?

I vowed in my heart that very day, as I continued in ministry, that whenever possible I would give and serve freely, and share from the abundance God blesses me with others freely. 

No one would ever be deprived of my ministering, for lack of what the Bible calls "filthy lucre" or money. And no one ever has, including patients I have periodically  taken care of throughout the years. 

When patients and their families needed my professional home health care services, but simply could not to pay standard rates, I simply provided quality health care based on what they could afford comfortably...and sometimes did not charge at all. 

Because PEOPLE are more important than MONEY, and showing God's love through personal sacrifice for others is priceless in helping to bring the lost to salvation through our Christian witness. 

I admit that tears are silently falling in the background even as I write this and remember such experiences. I have to ask, Christians in America, where ARE you for those who are out on the front lines for Jesus Christ and His kingdom? 

Where is your support for those who dare to lay down their lives and all they hold dear, to put God and His calling FIRST? No Christian can stand successfully in challenging and often dangerous ministries and battlefields for Christ, without the joint support and love from the Body of Christ. And neither can YOU.

My Greatest Challenge Now

WINTER IS FINALLY HERE!!!

Winter in the mountains of North Carolina

I am now approaching my tenth month of living in my vehicle as my only home. (This time around. I began living out of my vehicle in order to be able to afford to perform this journalism since 2001,  with only brief reprieves in friend's homes since then.) 

The RV I had invested $2,500 in last December of 2012 was seized by the seller when my monthly payment was late only a week, due to a failed work commitment by my former patient I had been working for. When I promised him the payment the following week, he became threatening, cancelled his sales agreement with me, and seized the RV that I had already paid him $2,500 for.

I had no funds for legal recourse, and fearing retaliation and his threats, I was forced to move out. I have been living in my vehicle ever since March of 2013 now. 

"Car camping" always becomes more challenging in the winter months, of course. It is cost prohibitive to run the engine for heat at night due to the high cost of gas, and so I sleep under my sleeping bag at night in my unheated vehicle.

The challenges of "car camping" include finding a safe location in which to park every night, with a clean restroom available as well. There is no kitchen to cook in, no refrigerator to store food in, no bathroom to take a shower in, no easy chair to relax in at the end of a tiring day. I must put up window shades in each window every night for privacy.

Even though I have a camp stove, in the winter it is frequently too cold to stand outside a use a camp stove to cook on.

Of course, with only thin window glass separating you from everything outside your vehicle, safety is always a major concern.

I have praying for several months now for the grace of  God to make provision to obtain a truck and camper at this time, so that I can finally have a kitchen and bathroom in my vehicle. 

One person offered to pay rent for me for a room. I was very thankful, but politely declined. I do not believe in paying rent for a place to live in. Why? You have nothing to show for your money when you move out. How much better it is to be making monthly payments instead on that which is yours to own instead. This is why I will never pay rent.

The Bible declares that "..the just shall live by faith." The Word of God also declares that God will supply our needs according to our riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Jesus said that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God...and His words include His eternal promises for our provision as we obey and serve Him.

When Jesus Christ promised His disciples that those who initially forsook what they had in this world to follow Him, they would receive a hundredfold in this world, and in the world to come eternal life. And He clearly referred to "houses and lands" as well.

I am at the point where it is difficult to move forward in the things God has called me to do, due to having no home base to operate from. I recently had to give away a beautiful new printer/copy machine, because I had no where to set it up to operate it. I had purchased it initially to print my Christian testimony tracts to hand out as I traveled and ministered. But such work simply cannot be done inside a vehicle satisfactorily.

For this and many other reasons, I have been praying for the grace of God to help me locate a truck and camper to obtain, to live out of and continue my work in. I must remain mobile for my journalism and Christians outreach. While I am able to sleep in my present vehicle I have now, I can do little else in it besides travel.

As I thought about this and prayed, I remembered how I had previously given away a complete RV to one Christian couple in crisis, Bob and Amy. I had also given away several cars to other Christians in crisis. Jesus promised in His word that the measure we give, is the measure we shall also receive. This is His spoken word of promise, given to us for times of need.

Simply pray with me that God will manifest His mercy and His way of providing for  this need at this time. I am very weary of living like this in my vehicle now since March. You really cannot get a deep rest when you sleep at a truck stop or rest area, because you always have to remain on guard due to unknown safety hazards involving both people and vehicles constantly around you.

Also, the noise of trucks and their engines running all night is inescapable, plus the sounds of traffic nearby operating 24 hours a day.

As I travel across the nation, I often pass by storage areas where people have stored their RV's and campers. Many are literally mothballed there, and only used a few weeks a year for a vacation. And with some older couples, some recreation vehicles are not being used at all.

Pray with me that God will fulfill the promise of His eternal word. Pray that  the mercies I have shown to many others throughout the years will be multiplied back unto me to meet this very important need at this time. I promised a Christian woman in ministry, Cisco Wheeler, who recently lost her own vehicle to a tragic accident, that I would give her my SUV to support her ministry, when God provides me with an Arctic Fox camper and truck as a "home to go home to" at last. 

(Arctic Fox campers are 4 season and designed to be lived in year round. Many campers however are not, and their pipes will freeze up in the winter time. It is always important to have a four season recreational vehicle if a person plans to live in it year round.)

Yes, in the meantime I am making the very most of what God has provided for me. We must all do this with what God has provided for us. I am thankful every single day for what I have. 

But put yourself in my place. What would you do without a kitchen to cook in, without a bathroom to take a warm shower in or relieve yourself, and without a haven of rest, safety and refuge to get away from the noises and chaos of the world around you??? 

And so, your prayers of faith for this need to be supplied are deeply appreciated at this time. I continue to believe God for great miracles, including John's recovery and miracles for him beyond what men can do. And I believe in the promises of God for what we need to continue in His important work in this lost world of today.

Somehow, as I see friends and people around me living in $250,000.00 or more homes and driving cars that cost three times what mine did, I do not have a problem asking God to provide something as simple and basic as this.

Thank you for your prayers...and let's see what our Almighty God will do in response. John and I are praying for the readers of my blog every time I spend time with him. God bless you all!

Honestly, I am so thankful for your support at this time, just to have food and gas and to be able to provide for John's health and other needs. It has always been difficult to find employment in this region, and I so want to relocate to a much larger metropolitan area, the city of Charlotte, wherein I was successfully employed in the past before I began this career of journalism in 1996. All of this has been so challenging for me. 

However, I KNOW from 42 years of the Christian walk, that God has a plan for His glory in ALL of this! Halleluia!

The bottom line in all this is, I BELIEVE GOD. I have served Him for 42 years now, and I have never known His promises to ever fail. He has promised to supply the needs of His servants who put Him first, and I confess by faith that what I have prayed for will be provided in His perfect timing. In the mean time, I am exceedingly thankful for what I have and for the support of God's people.

Let us take hands together by faith through prayer, and seek God for His merciful provision at this time, only so that I am better equipped to perform full time ministry and to advance with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the precious remaining time of freedom we have left in North America.

Ministering to the Homeless Across America

Living on the road for my ministry and journalism enables me to reach many people in need all across America. The following is an excerpt from an email I recently sent a reader:

....Did alot of ministry to homeless on the street yesterday...as I always do when I am traveling.  One woman's situation was pathetic. Brilliant woman, formerly married to military intelligence. She has even been in deep underground bases/cities. She is a very real born again Christian, a beautiful woman. 

The military is now tormenting and stalking her because of the corruption she discovered through her husband in the military and intelligence, and they feel she is a threat because of what she knows. She has to remain mobile now, has had attempts on her life, they even send their men to tail her and taunt her right to her face to keep her unnerved and worn out.

I had prayed yesterday for God to lead me to the people He wanted me to minister to while here filming. And He did. She was so frail, so tired...my heart bled for her. We prayed together and I then Asked God how I could help her. In her situation, she obviously needed money for gas.  I could relate perfectly. And so blessed her with $50 for gas.

THIS is what true Christianity is all about. It is about love. It is about caring and giving. It is about encouraging. And I love it. Pray for her. God knows her name.

The four homeless people I ministered to were there on a street corner...an old couple and a younger couple as well. The old man was sitting on an upturned bucket, trying to get an ancient camp stove to somehow light (it looked like something from an antique store and I doubted if he could ever get it to light!) 

He couldn't light it and gave up. As the sun was going down it got cold. I looked at them and prayed about what to do to bless them in Jesus' name.

I then went to my vehicle and got my Coleman's camp stove, only about a month old. I gave it to the surprised older couple, and a few canisters of propane for it. He looked so cold, and so I gave him a new sweatshirt and woolen gloves for his hands. My folding camp chair was perfect for him as well, instead of that hard uncomfortable bucket. I distributed food and other things as they shared what they needed.

Then the older man spoke up. I had not even mentioned Jesus yet to them.

"SO how long have you been a REAL CHRISTIAN???" 

This was a shocker. I had not even told them yet that I was a Christian...but was going to and going to minister to them.

I thought about this question, and realized something.

Sometimes our actions speak much louder to the world around us, than even our words of "I AM A CHRISTIAN." 

Without my saying anything, he knew I was A REAL CHRISTIAN. Jesus said that the world would know we are His disciples BY OUR LOVE. Words without appropriately corresponding actions are worthless and empty. Jesus not only SPOKE the Word: HE LIVED THAT WORD!

Walking in His love has the power to change lives around us! 

Love is so beautiful! Loves touches hearts where words alone cannot. Jesus not only SPOKE love, He LIVED love daily. And we are also called to walk and live in His love.

It is so wonderful when we follow Jesus and walk and live in LOVE. This is my life, and what I love to do more than anything else. I have found that no matter how poor I may be by the world's standards, I always somehow have enough to give to those suffering around me. 

An extra shirt or pair of socks. A can or two of food. A Christian Bible. Some extra change. And PRAYER and LOVE and COMPASSION are all free!

I love living on the road for this reason, because then I can minister to THE WHOLE WORLD AROUND ME...and my car becomes my pulpit. The world around me is my "church" and I become "the minister." Love it.

The people I encounter are those who often slip through the cracks of the modern church world. I am conscious of the fact that many of the people I encounter and minister to while traveling on the road, would normally never set foot in a church today. 

Many of them have never even listened to televangelist greats. But they HAVE heard the Gospel through ME!

And so I continue to minister to many of those who fall through the cracks of America's church apparatus.

Thank you for truly helping to make this vitally needed ministry possible. This is the Body of Christ in ACTION. 

We MUST work together as His Body, 

to bring His will to come to pass in America.

If BAD people are destroying this nation, then GOOD people walking with Jesus can RESTORE and help SAVE this nation. It's as simple as that. With God, all things are possible. And every day there is a new generation springing up, who can be reached for Jesus and then help to change the world by His power. 

Because of Jesus, 
there is always hope 

for the world... 

and for America.

God's love manifested through us

can change the world!
